Adapting Daily Deals to Live LBS

Perry Evans (Closely, Inc.)
Business & Strategy Ballroom E

The concept of Daily Deals - discount pre-purchased coupons in metro areas - has taken the local advertising world by a storm, generating an estimated spend of $1B from $0 in under 2 years.

The traffic for these deals are predominantly via email (and shared email and link sharing) and the dominant method of fulfillment os paper-based.

This session will focus on recording the viewpoint of small businesses, and project from this POV how this new ad model will become more integral to mobile search, local shopping, LBS application and mobile social services.

Original small businesses research with active users of Daily Deal promotion will be profiled, alongside the presenter’s take on issues and trends.
