Sketchup, Google’s free tool, has been used to render millions of buildings. However it can be much more powerful when you add in location data. This course explores leveraging that data in design using Google Earth, Google SketchUp and the Google 3D Warehouse.

Topics include:
  • Importing 3D Terrain, and Color Satellite Photography From Google Earth to SketchUp
  • How-to Search For, Download and Import Existing Real-World 3D Buildings From the Google 3D Warehouse
  • Evaluating Site Conditions Such as Sun Position, Shadows and other location based information
  • Creating your own 3D Models for Google Earth using SketchUp
