Thank goodness for the internet! I honestly wouldn’t know what to do with myself if it weren’t for the internet. I would probably be uneducated, unemployed, and most likely homeless. Not to mention I would probably have fewer methods to communicate with my family and friends AND I wouldn’t have pinterest to keep me occupied when I’m bored at work.
Most importantly, I am very appreciative to the Internet for its help in my job hunt. If I were to win an award it would go something like this “I would like to thank my family and friends for this award, most importantly Le Internet for giving me the chance to get the job I love.” Then, naturally there would be a grand applause and so on and so forth. Unfortunately, I must return to the real world. At any rate, if it weren’t for the internet I would never have heard of nor applied to my dream job.
Alright, I’ll be honest: the application process for this job absolutely sucked but it all balances out now. The worst part about this application process was the abundance of employee assessment tests. Some of them were on my personality and others on work ethic. It was all bleh in the end. Then, right when I was about to give up, I saw the light at the end of the application-tunnel: it was the interview training system. That’s right! I passed all of the assessment tests and they gave me access to the interview process. After a steady three interviews (after the interview training of course) they offered me the job! It was a very long and drawn out process but it was well worth the wait!
I am not a statistician, but I feel like a large majority of the American population often forgets about its history. Mind you, we are a very young country in comparison to our counterparts in Europe, but sometimes I feel as if our education system doesn’t support historical achievements. Don’t get me wrong, I feel as though they beat the Civil War into our brains so much that I completely lost interest and forgot everything. However, I don’t think that my teachers really explained the significance to the Great Depression to me in school. Heck, I don’t think it was until I went to college that I truly understood the severity of the Great Depression. So if you are like me then let’s have a review session on the steel industry and the Great Depression.
The steel industry in the United States is still a booming industry, but in the early 1900s it blossomed. One of the most influential companies at the time was General Steel. In 1928, General Steel Corporation acquired another large steel company called the Commonwealth. It became a huge supplier for the locomotive industry, which was the major method of transportation at the time for cross country or long distance travel. Then in 1929, the Stock Market crashed. Yet, even when the Stock Market crashed and the Great Depression began, General Steel was still able to make profits. It survived the Great Depression, which ended in the late 1930s. By the time the Great Depression ended the Second World War began, giving General Steel the demand it needed to prosper. General Steel then grew to become a major steel supplier today.
I am a restaurant lover. I like to cook but I can never get my meals to taste like these amazing hole in the wall places near my home. I will usually try any restaurant once, and then I will decide to return or not. Seems pretty easy right? you would actually be surprised about how many times I’ve gone to a hole in the wall joint and been severely disappointed (either the service was bad or the food was). Luckily, I gained my inspiration with trying more holes in the wall by going to these bbq restaurants near my house. To be honest, maybe I’m a spacey driver, because I had never noticed this restaurant before and it is literally four blocks from where I live.
At any rate, I walked into this bar b que restaurant and I was immediately shocked. The food staff was probably the friendliest staff I’ve encountered at any restaurant (both normal and hole-in-the-wall alike). I am fairly indifferent when it comes to bar b que, so I was pleasantly surprised when I fell in love with this restaurant. It has a great family atmosphere and the food is to die for. I don’t know if it qualifies as a hole in the wall, seeing as the restaurant is quite large (large enough to have a banquet hall), but I just never really noticed it before. I will now be a regular customer at this Texan BBQ restaurant and I will definitely be back for seconds.
With more and more drunk drivers out on the road, it is necessary for police officers to follow very strict rules and procedures when dealing with drivers who are under the influence of alcohol. Since there are so many procedures that police officers have to follow, there are plenty of areas that can lead to mistakes. That is, since there are so many rules, there are many hiccups that can happen when a police officer charges you with a DUI. This is where an DUI attorney steps in. If you were recently charged with driving under the influence and you believe the police officer wrongly administered your sobriety test, then you have to take action.
By hiring a DUI lawyer, you can better stand up for your rights in court. There are many loopholes in the system and your lawyer will help you find them. For instance, did you know that you can dismiss your charges if the police tested your blood? To clarify, there are many inaccuracies possible when the police test your blood for alcohol. The officers might not have followed the exact prescribed rules, analysis, or testing from your blood sample. As a result, you can void your blood test as evidence, and you may be able to dismiss your charges all together. There are many ways to dismiss your case because it is possible that the police officers inaccurately tested your level of sobriety. So, if you feel that you were charged for the wrong reasons, then hire a DUI attorney today.
Perhaps I’ve just been out of the loop for a long time but while I was looking at homes to buy I came across the great invention. So, my husband and I are looking to relocate to a different neighborhood because we want to start a family in a good school district. And thank god for the internet otherwise we would be lost!
One day I was looking up homes in our ideal area and realized that they are constructing new homes. I immediately became excited because I knew my husband and I could qualify for a new home. I had to run it by my husband of course, but we decided that it could be a great decision. Within a week or two we met with the neighborhood developer to look at what kind of home we were looking for. As we were driving through the soon-to-be neighborhood I saw this contractor using a certain type of gutter machine. I didn’t realize that gutters could be cut at the construction site, but that’s not the important part. The important part is that these gutter machines were able to make cool designs onto the gutter itself.
I asked the developer if it were possible to get the gutter art design on our home and apparently if you ask nicely, you can get what you want! So, now my husband and I only have to wait another three months and then we can move into our dream home. I am so excited and exhausted.
Let me just start off by saying that I am a broke college student. There. I’ve cleared the air. As a broke college student, it doesn’t matter how many hours I work at my part-time job, I still have a hard time making enough money for holiday gifts. I have a large family and a great group of friends, so it stretches my budget a little thin. Everyone knows that as a college student, I can’t give them great gifts, but it makes me feel bad. So, in the fall semester I took a one-unit jewelry making class. The professor/ visiting instructor taught me know to use a jewelers saw to make really cool pieces of jewelry. We also learned a little bit about metal smithing and how to integrate that into jewelry. Since it was a class, we didn’t have the best materials to work with, but it gave us the experience with working with certain jewelry making supplies.
Right about the time of mid-semester, the instructor gave us a bunch of projects to complete. She asked us to come up with five or six gift ideas for the holidays. Talk about killing two birds with one stone. I was able to use the schools resources to create personalized gifts for six people: that knocks off a huge list of people. I was able to make about three amazing pairs or earrings, a necklace with a metal pendant, and two bracelets. Whew! It was a lot of work, but I’m proud of them.
I cannot tell you how many people are looking for personalized pieces of artwork these days. That’s not to say that way back when people didn’t ask artists to create pieces for them; in fact, that’s how many artists gained a reputation and money. What I mean is that more and more people are looking for contemporary wall art to personalize and reflect their personality within their home. Unlike having a portrait taken, many people are demanding unique and abstract wall art to compliment their home.
There is a new hype about using metal art work to compliment your home. These metal pieces of art are used more frequently because of its modern and sleek appearance. That is, most metal art pieces are dynamic but still retain simplicity in its conception. On the other hand, it’s end product is very labor intensive, thereby making it more complex. Look at this metal artwork:
It is simple: an American flag. But if you look closer each stripe and each star are perfectly unique and they were individually made. This metal artwork is modern yet it demonstrates the resilience and power of art. By making it a metal piece of art, it makes this image stand out. To explain, if someone just painted the flag on canvas, it probably wouldn’t be so appealing and remarkable. As a result, you can see how metal art work is gaining ground in popularity because it makes an everyday object into a work of art. And for me, that is what’s going to stick with people.
I was a little skeptical when I read in the newspaper about a new method for liposuction. It is liposuction with a laser! And you don’t have to be in big cities to get it! If you don’t believe me then google “Zerona Laser Denver” and you’ll get tons of information.
This new method is meant to be non-invasive so you are not damaging body tissues and blood vessels. There are many zerona Denver practices that are willing to give you the information you want to get rid of your little bits of ‘extra.’ What happens in normal liposuction is that the doctors usually inflate the fat cells in a targeted area by injecting a ton of fluids. This allows the doctors to suck out the fat cells without damaging your body tissue and blood vessels. However, this procedure can be extremely dangerous because the suction can affect deep tissue and burst blood vessels.
With the laser liposuction, the low-level, cold laser stimulates blood circulation to your targeted area. This allows the area to get blood flow and decrease fat cells. Fat cells build up over time due to a lack of blood circulation to that area, and therefore lack of activity. When you stimulate the blood toward your targeted area, you are better able to get rid of fat cells.
I personally would wait a few years before trying any type of liposuction. I would recommend to try to maintain a healthy diet and exercise often. If you keep yourself healthy perhaps that fat will decrease naturally.
As we get older, some of us become more forgetful. Perhaps it is because we are so busy and we have so much on our mind that we forget little things. Sometimes we are just known for being scatterbrained. But for some of us, it may be early stages of dementia and Alzheimer’s. This is a scary reality because we know the severity of Alzheimer’s and no one wants to forget important people and places. But recent studies show that green tea and green tea extract can theoretically prevent dementia.
To explain, green tea is jam-packed with vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. Some of these antioxidants have the ability to protect your cells from degeneration and damage. This is due to the fact that antioxidants fight off harmful free radicals in your system. These free radicals can alter your DNA and cell membranes if left unattended. So by drinking green tea you are being proactive about supporting the regeneration of healthy cells.
The problem with dementia is that it occurs when your brain cells are damaged. Hopefully, by drinking green tea, your brain cells will remain intact and the neurons that send signals to your brain will be protected. It is difficult to say how much green tea you would have to drink in our to fully protect yourself from dementia and other memory-loss diseases. In fact, researchers have no clue. However, it is possible that research will continue to find alternative methods for maintaining healthy brain cells, or rather just healthy cells in general!
