Okay, folks, the time has come. The holiday season is officially under way! Regardless if the weather isn’t mirroring our holiday themes, people are still shuffling around parking lots grabbing boxes here and food over there. People have trees and rudolf noses strapped to their cars and you can hear holiday music wherever you go. In tune with the spirit, we want essential oilsto give presents to our loved ones that really say we care. Something so special about the holiday season is how everyone is so filled with love and that they want to show it by giving the perfect gift. If you love someone, you hope that they take care of themselves and one of the ways people take care of themselves is simply by giving themselves a good scrub. And that is exactly what you can help your loved one do with a lovely home made sugar scrub! It’s a fast, easy and affordable way to give show your loved ones how much you care.

There are many different sugar scrub recipes that you can easily make at home! I am going to share with you a sample of just a few sugar scrubs that could be perfect for anyone in your life that you love no matter how close. Before we get started, it is important for you to keep in mind that you will always use the same base: one cup of traditional white or brown sugar and 1/4 cup of either olive, almond or coconut oil. On to the exact recipes!

  • Sweet Orange Sugar Scrub. 1 cup brown sugar, with 1/4 cup olive oil and 7 to 8 drops of orange essential oil.
  • Cucumber Mint Sugar Scrub. 1 cup white sugar, with 1/4 cup olive oil and 5 drops of peppermint and 4 drops of cucumber essential oils.
  • Vanilla Lavender Sugar Scrub. 1 cup white sugar, with 1/4 cup olive oil, with 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract and 5 drops of lavender essential oil.
  • Honey and Brown Sugar Sugar Scrub. 1 cup brown sugar, with 1/4 cup olive oil, with 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract and 1 teaspoon of honey.

As you can see, there are many different combinations of sugar scrubs that you can offer up to your family and friends that you love. Give the sweet orange sugar scrub to your zesty sister, the cucumber mint to your cool uncle or the vanilla lavender to your sweet mother. The options are endless! Plus all the ingredients are inexpensive so a little money goes a long way! Heck, why not make enough for the entire office! There are a lot of fun things you can do with your leftover essential oils too. Why not purchase an oil diffuser and then you can make your holiday party smell like peppermint or lavender. Doesn’t that sound lovely?

This holiday season why not show the people in your life how much you love them by encouraging them to take care of themselves. After all, you want to make sure the things you love are being taken care of and of course the same goes for people too. Happy holidays everyone.

Pager systems, the future of communication

Have you ever had experience working in a hospital setting?  This is one type of setting that is in the heath care industry that can be very stressful.  If you would just take a moment to think about all of the things that you would have to do in a hospital, it just seems like the list would go on forever.  Hospitals are certainly not the only place that is in the health care industry that can become very stressful.  As far as stress goes, no matter where you are working there will always be a source of stress that will come your way.

The constant ringing of a phone, pager system, or any other device that is commonly used for communication can get to be very bothersome for some people.  Even if this is the only form of communication for some businesses, there almost seems to be a need for some type of regulations on how often someone can send out a page, a text, or a phone call during the day.  Now, granted there are some things that will come up which will give you no option but to send out as many pages, or as many texts and phone calls as you need to until your needs have been met.  There are some cases, especially in the hospital setting where people will need to continuously try to reach someone until they hear back from that person, or get some kind of response from them.  This is one of the main reasons that people install pager systems at their businesses.  It is a great way to get a hold of any of their staff members at any point during the day.  The great thing is that no matter where that employee is in the building, they will receive the page and should be able to respond fairly quickly.

pager systemsThere are a lot of people who complain that their cell phones, and or business phones are not getting very good reception in their work place.  This is something that is usually very common.  The buildings that are made out of steel or have a stucco exterior, will have the worst reception inside of the building.  A pager system is the answer to all of these problems as they do not work depending on the reception they are getting from the cell phone towers.  There will no longer be an excuse for the employees to use that their phones are not getting any service.  The pager systems will be a great solution for this problem.

Another thing about pager systems is that they produce a very loud and some what annoying ring tone when the employees are receiving a page.  This is actually a good thing, if you think about it, because the employees will hear it no matter what, or where they are.  It is going to be very hard for an employee to not here a pager that is set up with a good pager system that is loud enough.

I work at an industrial construction company. When I tell people this, they often ask me what industrial construction company’s do. Well, you know all of those factories, power plants, and sewage plants you see?

We are in charge of building those. It sounds kind of boring, but I actually love my job. I work overseeing a team of guys who are in charge of transporting pipes and other large industrial materials to the building sites of various factories and industrial construction sites. I began working in construction as a foreman years ago, and this position suites me well. Now that I’m getting a little bit older, it’s great to have a stable job rather than jumping from construction project to construction project. Overseeing the transport of these supplies is a big job.

My company specializes in pipe fabrication and pipe bending fabrication. As you can imagine, the piping needs of a large factory are huge. Oftentimes, we are transporting pipes which I could easily use as a slide. In fact, one time I took my kids to work, and they did just that! Until I caught them of course and gave them an important lecture on safety.

This brings me to another important part of my job. Keeping my team safe while they’re transporting huge, heavy, dangerous supplies is a large part of what I do. We have very strict safety regulation in place to make sure nobody gets injured while they’re working. My company really places a lot of importance on safety, and they work with their clients on creating safe work spaces for their employees who work in factories we build as well. If I think that the job my guys are doing is dangerous, I couldn’t even imagine what it would be like managing a team working at a chemical treatment plant, or a nuclear power plant.

The people who work there are really putting themselves at risk. As history has shown, explosions, leaks, and other problems that arise can have disastrous consequences for employees at these types of industrial facilities. This is another reason why I take my job so seriously. I want to make sure my team doesn’t get injured, but I also want to ensure that all of the building materials arrive at their final locate in perfect condition. I would hate to think what could happen if one of those pipes were to get banged up in transport and spring a leak once it had a dangerous chemical flowing through it! My company also offers maintenance though, so if this were to happen, we would be there to fix it in an instant!
